- 1). Insert the software installation CD into the Windows Vista computer. In a moment the installation wizard launches.
- 2). Click "Next," then accept the license agreement of the product. Turning down the license agreement will result in you being unable to install the software.
- 3). Follow the remainder of the prompts to complete the old software installation on your Windows Vista computer.
- 4). Launch your Internet browser if the computer did not support the old program. Typically the computer allows you to install the software, but the computer won't recognize the program when you attempt to launch it. Make your way to the manufacturer's site.
- 5). Select "Support" and search your product. Listed are patches and updates for your program. Select the "Windows Vista" patch. Click "Download" and allow it to download to your computer.
- 6). Double-click the downloaded file to initiate the installation wizard. Follow the prompts until the installation has finished. You can now open the older Windows program on Vista.
