- 1). Hold down the "Ctrl" button on your keyboard and click the DVD-burning application's icon on your desktop's Dock.
- 2). Click "Force Quit" in the pop-up menu, and click "Force Quit" in the dialog box to confirm you wish to shut down the application.
- 3). Click the "Apple" icon at the top-left corner of the menu bar and click "Restart." Click "Restart" on the dialog box, and hold down the trackpad button on your laptop.
- 4). Release the trackpad button once the laptop restarts and displays the desktop screen or login screen.
- 5). Launch the DVD-burning application to test if the problem was due to the application or a hardware issue with the DVD burner.
- 6). Contact your local Apple store to make a reservation for technical support if you continue to experience issues with the DVD burner (see Resources).
