- 1). Open the "Start" menu, click on the "All Programs" list, and open "Internet Explorer."
- 2). Navigate to the webpage that you wish to view in compatibility mode.
- 3). Click on the compatibility mode icon, which is located between the address bar and the "Refresh" button at the top of the screen. The icon appears as a sheet of paper that has been torn in half in the middle.
