- 1). Slide the "Hold" switch on the top of the device to the right.
- 2). Slide the switch to the left back to the original position.
- 3). Press the "Menu" and "Center" buttons on the front of the iPod classic simultaneously and hold them.
- 4). Release the buttons when the Apple logo appears on the screen. It takes approximately six seconds for the logo to appear. The device automatically restarts and you can resume operation.
