- 1). Connect the USB extension cable to the USB port of your computer.
- 2). Connect the desired USB cable into the open end of the USB extension cord. This is no different than connecting it to a regular USB port.
- 3). Hook up the item in which you wish to connect with the USB cords. Connect all three pieces--the item you want to connect, the original USB cable and the USB extender--securely to establish a stable connection.
