- 1). Vacuum as much loose filtration soil as possible. Use the vacuum crevice attachments to remove the soiling at the edge of the carpet next to the baseboard.
- 2). Pour some dry cleaning solvent into a clean, empty spray bottle. Dry cleaning solvent will lift the dirt from the carpet pile.
- 3). Spray a light mist of dry cleaning solution over the soiled carpet areas. Do not over soak the carpet.
- 4). Brush the soiled carpet area with a soft-bristled brush to lift the dirt from the pile. Gently brush the pile so it is slightly raised.
- 5). Blot the soiled area with an absorbent cloth or terry towel.
- 6). Vacuum the soiled area again.
- 7). Repeat the process until the soiling is removed.
