- 1). Create a paste using baking soda and the stain remover of your choice.
- 2). Apply the paste to the cigarette stain. Scrub the paste into the stain using a cleaning pad.
- 3). Allow the paste to sit on the stain for 15 minutes.
- 4). Rinse the area with a clean cloth dampened with water.
- 1). Apply nail polish remover to the stain.
- 2). Scrub the nail polish remover with a cotton pad.
- 3). Rinse the area with a damp cloth.
- 4). Repeat the removal process if stain persists.

- 3). Rinse the countertop with a soapy cloth.
- 4). Repeat the process until the stain disappears.
