- 1). Buy some thin card stock from a stationery store. The card should be thin enough that you can fold it, but thick enough to be sturdy. Buy a few sheets so that you can make more than one card.
- 2). Fold the sheet of card in half so that it looks like a greeting card. Repeat this process so that you have two greetings card shapes.
- 3). Cut a shape in the center of the front of the card. This can be any shape, although it should not be too big that you cannot write a greeting on the front of the card. Glue a photograph of the person you are sending the card to behind the hole, so that it shows out the front of the card.
- 4). Write a message above the photograph, such as "Happy birthday" or "Congratulations." Write this yourself using pens, or cut out the message from another greeting card or magazine. Glue this onto the front of the card, around the photograph of the person.
- 5). Decorate the front of the card using pictures cut out of magazines or with glitter pens. When you are happy with the design, wait for all glue and ink to dry before proceeding.
- 6). Glue the second folded piece of card inside the first one, to cover the back of the photograph, and to make the card look neat. When the glue has dried, write your message on the inside.
