- 1). Scrub the inside of the dishwasher with a wet sponge drizzled with a squirt of dish soap. Continue until you clean the entire dishwasher interior.
- 2). Pour 1/2 cup white vinegar into a bowl, and sit the bowl on the top shelf of the dishwasher.
- 3). Turn on the dishwasher with a normal length wash cycle, which allows the vinegar to spread throughout the dishwasher interior and break up all of the residue.
