- 1). Select a pen with an even weight distribution. Discard any pen with a heavy front or back end. A pen standard ballpoint pen will do the trick.
- 2). Pinch the back end of pen with the thumb and index finger. Gently place the middle finger against the body of the pen. The point of pen must be facing away from your body.
- 3). Thrust the pen with the middle finger. Apply minimal pressure -- only enough pressure to instigate the pen to spin in a circular motion over top the thumb. Keep the thumb flat while the pen is spinning.
- 4). Catch the pen between the thumb and index finger after one completed rotation. Practice over and over until the motion feels natural. Give yourself at least seven days to master the technique.
