- 1). Click the "Users and Groups" tab from within the phpBB Admin Panel menu.
- 2). Click on "Manage Groups" underneath the Groups heading from within the Users and Groups menu.
- 3). Type the name of the partial moderator group you want to create in the Create New Group field and click the "Submit" button. Select the desired basic group settings and press the "Submit" button.
- 4). Click on "Group Permissions" underneath the Groups heading from within the Users and Groups menu.
- 5). Select the partial moderator group from the Usergroup drop-down menu and press the "Submit" button.
- 6). Click the "Select Type" drop-down menu, select "Global Moderator Permissions" and click the "Go" button.
- 7). Click the "Role" drop-down menu, select "Simple Moderator" and click the "Apply All Permissions" button.
- 8). Type the name of the forum member you want to set as a moderator into the Find a Member a field and click the "Submit" button.
- 9). Click the "Form" drop-down menu and select "Groups."

Click the "Add User to Group" drop-down menu and select the custom group you created. Click the "Submit" button to add the member to the custom group.
