- 1). Unplug the Panasonic VCR from the power outlet to avoid any electrical shock. Disconnect any video cables from the VCR.
- 2). Turn the VCR around so you are facing the back of the unit, where the audio and video inputs are located.
- 3). Unscrew the screws around the edge of the of the Panasonic VCR with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Turn the VCR around and unscrew any screws along the side of the unit. Keep all screws in a safe place for when you are putting the cover back onto the VCR.
- 4). Grab the edges of the Panasonic VCR cover and gently push it toward the back of the unit. It will come loose and you can see inside of the VCR.
