- 1). Choose a Web-based company that provides custom ringtone creation services, such as Brinked, ToneBee or Myxer. Depending on the service you choose, you may have to create a free account before you can create a custom ringtone.
- 2). Click on the "Browse" button and upload the audio file you want to use for your custom ringtone creation. After your song is uploaded online, you will be able to edit the song in the sound editor project screen.
- 3). Select an excerpt of the song by clicking and dragging the highlighted box on the sound editor screen. Depending on the service you chose, you may be able to select a 30-second clip. Experiment with different song sections, and then preview your chosen excerpt to ensure that you're satisfied with your selection.
- 4). Edit the volume of your ringtone by using the volume slider.
- 5). Add effects, such as fade in and fade out, to your ringtone. Adding these features will produce a clean, smooth transition in your ringtone.
- 6). Send the new ringtone to your phone. Depending on the service you chose, you may have the option to send the ringtone to your phone via text messaging or download your custom ringtone directly to your phone.
