Hi I'm Kelly from Wildyarns.com in Denver, Colorado. I'm going to show you how to knit a hat with roving. To knit a hat with roving as an accent, you can do a method called thrumming where there's a lot of roving on the inside to make it extra warm and fuzzy. To do this, you take a piece of roving and you pull off a small section. For your stitch where there's thrumming, you will use the roving instead of the yarn to make the stitch. You might need to tug the roving a little so that it is evenly seated in the stitch and then you'll just go on and knit the next stitch. When you come back around you'll just knit through the roving just like it was a regular stitch. I hope you enjoyed learning about knitting a hat with roving for an accent.
