- 1). Right click "Start" in the lower-left corner of your screen.
- 2). Click "Explore." You will be taken into the Windows Explorer, specifically the directory for the Start Menu.
- 3). Double click the "Programs" icon. You will see the icons for every program in your Start Menu.
- 4). Click and hold the cursor over any icon you wish to move. With the mouse button depressed, drag the file to the desired location. Repeat this for as many icons as you wish to rearrange.
- 5). Close the Windows Explorer by clicking the red "X" in the upper, right-hand corner of the screen. Click "Start" and you will see that the icons have been successfully rearranged.
