- 1). Lift the icemaker access door inside the freezer and move the icemaker power switch to "On" if the ice dispenser is not working. Note that it takes approximately 45 minutes after the icemaker is powered on for it to begin operation.
- 2). Press the "Lock/Light" button to turn off the lock on the ice dispenser, which prevents children and other users from accessing the ice and water dispenser. Hold the button for three seconds and release.
- 3). Wait at least 24 hours after the refrigerator is initially installed before attempting to dispense ice, as it takes time for the unit to cool properly and begin making ice. Discard the first few batches of ice to ensure that the water lines have been cleared of dirt or debris before consuming the ice.
- 4). Verify that the water lines are connected and the water valve is turned on (counterclockwise) if the refrigerator has power and the icemaker has been turned on but there is no ice.
- 5). Examine the ice dispenser if the icemaker is turned on but no ice is coming through the dispenser. If ice is stuck in the dispenser, use a wooden spoon to poke the ice out of the chute.
- 6). Hold glasses or containers near the ice dispenser opening but do not touch the opening with the glass. This may cause ice to slip and miss the container, falling on the floor.
