- 1). Turn your computer on and hold the F8 key down on your computer's keyboard. Wait until you come to the Windows Advanced Login menu and then release the F8 key.
- 2). Use the small arrows on the keyboards to go down to the "Safe Mode" option. Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard and wait for the computer to boot in safe mode.
- 3). Click on the Start menu and then click on the Control Panel. Wait for the Control Panel menu to pop up and then scroll down to the icon that reads "User Accounts." Double-click on this icon to gain access to the user accounts.
- 4). Click on the "Administrator" account and click on the "Change Password" option. Type your original password into the box labeled "Old Password". Type your new password into the boxes labeled "New Password" and "Confirm Password".
- 5). Click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the window to exit the menu. Click on the "Start" button and restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
