- 1). Download the template for the box you want to make. Ruthannzaroff.com has two template options for you to choose from and both boxes are made following the same method.
- 2). Print the template onto the card stock. You need only one piece of card stock for the first box and two pieces for the large box. The large one is made by folding both pieces of paper the same way then using one as the bottom and one as the top.
- 3). Cut the template out along the solid lines. Do not cut the dotted lines.
- 4). Use the bone folder to score the dotted lines. To score, draw the bone folder lightly against the dotted lines. This makes the card stock fold easily.
- 5). Use a brush to apply glue to the tabs on the large box and attach each side together. Let the glue dry before continuing with Step 7. The small box doesn’t need to be glued as it is held together entirely by folding. If you do want to glue the small box, follow Step 6.
- 6). Leave the small box tabs loose if you will be opening the box. Brush glue on the tabs and secure to the box if you want to keep it closed. For favor boxes, don’t glue the box, instead fill it with the favors and use a tape circle.
- 7). Decorate the finished box with embellishments, stickers or hand-drawn designs if you desire. Once you’re done, the box is finished and ready to use.
