- 1). Lay a paper towel over the marker stains if they're fresh. Press down on the paper towel to absorb some of the marker stain. Move to a clean portion of the paper towel and continue to blot until no more of the marker stain transfers to the paper towel.
- 2). Spritz silicone spray over the remaining marker stain until it's covered. Place a piece of plastic wrap on top of the wood and smooth it over the stain. Allow the plastic wrap and silicone spray to remain on the wood for at least three hours, or even overnight.
- 3). Remove and discard the plastic wrap. Wipe the wood surface with paper towels to remove the silicone spray and loosened marker stains.

Apply a pea-sized amount of white toothpaste to any remaining marker stains. Rub the toothpaste into the stain with a dry paper towel. - 5). Dampen another paper towel and wipe off the wood to remove the toothpaste and remaining marker stains. Dry the surface of the wood.
- 6). Place a dime-sized amount of wood polish on a clean, soft cloth. Rub the polish into the wood to replenish moisture. Buff excess polish off with a dry cloth.
