- 1). Visit the Software Tutor website (see Resources below).
- 2). Look under "Free Courses" and try out "How to set IntelliCAD/AutoCAD user preferences---from 'Using Model Space and Paper Space in IntelliCAD/AutoCAD'" as a sample course. By trying it out, you will make sure that this program works properly on your computer.
- 3). Sign up for an account so that you can take the IntelliCAD courses. The courses do have a fee per course that has to be paid via PayPal. Each course is paid for separately.
- 4). Begin your lessons with the "QuickStart" lesson to get familiar with IntelliCAD. Then move into Basic CAD 1 and 2 to learn drawing and editing in IntelliCAD.
- 5). Take the lessons that focus on advanced drawing once you have mastered the IntelliCAD basics. You can take "using model and paper spaces" as well as courses on 3D CAD, SketchUp and creating process and instrumentation drawings.
- 6). Do the electrical schematics lessons if you will be drafting for electrical schematics in IntelliCAD. There are three lessons, and you should do them in order for the best results.
