- 1). Close any program the computer is running.
- 2). Plug the printer's power cable in and plug the USB cord into the computer's USB port.
- 3). Turn the printer on. After the printer goes through its initial set-up process, Vista should detect the printer and automatically install the drivers.
- 4). Click the "Start" button on the lower-left side of the screen and select the "Control Panel" option from the Start menu. Select "Hardware and Sound" and click the "Printer" option.
- 5). Right-click the printer icon and select "Properties" from the options that appear. Click the "General" tab and choose the "Print Test Page" option.
