- 1). Click "Start" and select "Control Panel." Under "Hardware and Sound," click "Printer."
- 2). Right-click the printer you want as default. Select "Set as Default Printer" from the context menu. A green check mark will display next to the printer you have selected.
- 3). Right-click your default printer, and select "Printing Preferences" to adjust orientation, paper size and other settings. Changes will become defaults for that printer, although you can usually adjust those settings per print job from within your programs before printing.
