- 1). Double-click "My Computer" to launch Windows Explorer and double-click the "C:" drive. Click the "Tools" menu located on the top and click "Folder Options" to launch the Folder options dialog box. Click the "View" tab and click the "Show hidden files and folders" radio button. Click "OK" to save the changes.
- 2). Double-click the "Windows" folder to open it. Scroll through the Windows folder to locate the "Inf" folder. Double-click the "Inf" folder to launch it.
- 3). Scroll through the "Inf" folder and locate the "SR.INF" file. Right-click this file and click "Install" to repair System Restore. Follow the guided prompts to complete the repair. When prompted, restart your computer.
