- 1). Click the Windows "Start" button and enter "regedt32" into the text box. Press "Enter" to open your registry editor.
- 2). Click the "Restore" button at the top of your registry window. Click the "Browse" button and point to the location of your registry back-up. Click "OK."
- 3). Click the "Open" button. In the confirmation window, click "Yes" to confirm that you want to restore the registry using the back-up file.
