- 1). Blot up as much of the stain as possible with a wet cloth. Do not rub; it will cause the stain to spread and dig into the carpet deeper.
- 2). Mix 1 part white vinegar with 3 parts warm water.
- 3). Dip the cloth into the vinegar mixture.
- 4). Pat the area, allowing the vinegar to set into the stain. Continue to do this until the stain is removed.
- 5). Blot the now stain-free area with a warm damp cloth to remove traces of vinegar that were left behind.
- 6). Dry the dampened area with a hair dryer.
