Collect photographs of the person or animal for the subject of your design. Make sure you have several full-body photographs as well as head shots. Ensure you have shots that capture a wide range of angles, including front, back and profile. - 2). Make several sketches that capture your desired bobblehead with an eye to your photographs. Make sketches from various angles, using a head/body ratio of approximately four-to-one. Exaggerate the features of the head and face, and use as much detail as possible.
- 3). Scan the photographs. Load them into the software to digitally alter them to desired proportions.
- 4). Alter your photographs to approximate the sketch drawings with the software. Once you create the four-to-one head/body ratio, use the software to exaggerate the head and facial features that are most prominent. Experiment with at least one good front shot, one good back shot, one left profile shot and one right profile shot until your photographs resemble the desired model.
- 5). Convert these photographs to three-dimensional line drawings. Edit the line drawings to ensure each represents the same size character to scale, and make further changes according to desired product. The four best images of front, back and each profile comprise your custom design.
