- 1). Power on your Dish Network Dual Tuner DVR and the television to which the DVR is connected.
- 2). Locate the "MODE" button on the front of the receiver. Press this button to set the DVR to "DUAL MODE." There are two pictures representing each mode. The first is a single box, representing "SINGLE MODE," and the second is two boxes, representing "DUAL MODE." Make sure the picture with two boxes is illuminated.
- 3). Decide which television you will use the least. Choose from your television that is connected to the DVR, which is referred to as "TV1," or the television that is not connected to the DVR, which is referred to as "TV2." Once you decide which television you use the least, continue to step 4.
- 4). Enable the "Record Plus" feature on your DVR. This feature allows you to record one show on one of the two locations and watch a completely different program on the other location. To do this, press the "Menu" button in the top-left corner of the remote. Select "Preferences" and then "Record Plus." Select the least-used television you chose in step 3. You can now view your Dish Network programming in multiple rooms.
