- 1). Turn the BlackBerry 8800 over and press down on the metal rectangle to remove the batter cover. Pull up on the left side of the battery and remove it.
- 2). Push down on the metal SD card cover, located just above the battery recess underneath where the metal rectangle on the battery cover was, and remove the SD card from the 8800.
- 3). Remove the four screws that were covered by the battery cover, using your T4 driver.
- 4). Place your pry stick underneath one of the silver side covers. Turn the stick until you see the side cover pop up a bit. Move your pry stick to another section of the side cover and repeat the process until the side cover comes completely off. The adhesive near the top of the side cover may stick to the phone; you will need to pull it off in that case. Repeat the process for the other side cover.
- 5). Pull up on the bottom of the back cover until it is at about a 30-degree angle. Push up on the back cover; it may take a little force to separate the top of the back cover from the rest of the device.
- 6). Remove the two screws in the upper corners of the 8800 with your T4 driver.
- 7). Pull the front cover away from the control board.
- 8). Use your pry stick to pop-up the LCD connector located just above the LCD. Place your pry stick between the LCD and the control board. Rotate the pry stick until the LCD separates form the board.
