- 1). Enter the iTunes Store in your iTunes and browse the "Apps" category. This section entails what would previously be known as "Games."
- 2). Click on the listing for the game. On the left-hand side of the screen, you will now see, in rather small lettering, "Requirements." This lists which Apple products the game is compatible with. Ensure that the game is compatible with your 3rd generation iPod.
- 3). Click "Buy Now" to purchase the game. It will automatically download and place the game in the games section of your iTunes library.
- 4). Connect your 3rd generation iPod to your computer using the iPod USB cable. Allow the iPod to sync with your computer.
- 5). Click on the icon for your iPod under the "Devices" heading in your iTunes program before clicking on the "Apps" tab at the far right of the screen.
- 6). Tick the box that says "Sync Apps" to transfer the game that has just been purchased to your iPod.
