- 1). Launch the Settings app on your iPhone by tapping its icon on the Home screen.
- 2). Tap the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" button, followed by the "Add Account" button.
- 3). Tap the "Microsoft Exchange" button and enter your Google account username in the "Email" and "Username" fields. Enter your Google account password in the "Password" box and tap the "Next" button.
- 4). Tap the "Cancel" button in the "Cannot Verify Server" dialog box. The iPhone returns to the "Exchange" screen. This isn't a fault, but a necessary part of the setup procedure.
- 5). Type "m.google.com" into the "Server" field that has appeared on the "Exchange" screen and tap the "Next" button again. The iPhone will verify the server this time.
- 6). Slide the "Contacts" switch to "On" and tap the "Done" button. Your iPhone's contact entries are copied to the online Google address book.
- 7). Repeat this procedure on the iPad, using the same Google account details when adding the "Microsoft Exchange" account. The iPhone's address book entries in your Google account will be copied to the iPad when the Contacts switch is set to "On."
