- 1). Set up a user profile with Earthlink (see Resources).
- 2). Enter "Settings" on your iPhone. Go to "Mail, Contact, Calendars".
- 3). Enter "Add Account...". You will be provided a list of possible email and Internet suppliers. Select the "Other" option at the bottom.
- 4). Select "Add Mail Account." It will be the first option on this screen.
- 5). Enter your name in the "Name" option. Next, enter your Earthlink email address in the "Address" option, then enter your Earthlink password in the "Password" option. Finally, enter the name you want to appear in the "Description" option (e.g. "John's Earthlink Email").
- 6). Press "Next" to be taken to the "Incoming Mail Server" screen. Under "Host Name" enter "pop.earthlink.net". Under "User Name" enter your Earthlink email address. Under "Password" enter your Earthlink password.
- 7). Open the "SMTP" option under "Outgoing Mail Server" title. For the hostname, enter "smtpauth.earthlink.net". Enter your email under "User Name" and put in your password. Press "Save".
- 8). Press the "Mail" application on the home screen. This will automatically connect you to you Earthlink account. Enter your email and password to access your emails (to avoid entering these details every time, press the "Remember Me" check box).
