- 1). Determine the pixel resolution and supported image types for your phone. This information can typically be found in the phone's display settings menu or on the manufacturer's website.
- 2). Open a new document in your digital imaging program. Set the image dimensions and file type to meet your phone's requirements. Check to see if your software has mobile image presets, as they will save you time when creating.
- 3). Create your artwork. Use text and graphics or a photograph cropped to the proper dimensions. Prepare your image so that its focal point and important details aren't obscured by the time, date, calendar or program icons displayed on the screen.
- 4). Save your image.
- 5). Upload your artwork to a free image hosting service or send it to yourself via email so that it can be accessed from your phone's browser, or directly upload the image if your phone supports this feature.
