- 1). Navigate to the Yahoo! home page.
- 2). Click the "New Here? Sign Up" link at the top of the page.
- 3). Enter your name, gender, birthday, country and zip code in the first section of the Yahoo! ID sign up page.
- 4). Create an identification (ID) and password in the "Select an ID and password" section. Make sure "yahoo.com" is selected as your e-mail suffix. Also, a "Password Strength" meter is shown to let you know how secure your password is.
- 5). Enter an alternate e-mail address (this is optional), and choose and answer secret questions in the next section. These will help you retrieve your ID and/or password if you forget it.
- 6). Type the code as shown at the bottom. Click the "Need audio assistance button" if you want to hear the code spoken to you, or click the "Try a new code" button if you cannot understand it and want to try a new one.
- 7). Click "Create My Account" to finish creating your new Yahoo! ID.
