- 1). Unscrew the outer ring of the antenna plug and pull it out of the jack to disconnect the antenna cable from the rear of your CB radio.
- 2). Plug the input cable provided with your linear amplifier into the rear antenna jack on the CB radio. The cable has a plug on one end and two ring terminals that are color-coded red and black on the other.
- 3). Loosen the two wing nuts on the red and black input posts on the rear of the amplifier. Slip the corresponding color terminal from the input cable onto the ring terminals. Replace the wing nuts and tighten.
- 4). Connect the plug on the end of your antenna cable into the antenna jack on the rear of the linear amplifier.
- 5). Loosen the "Power" and "Ground" screw terminals on the back of the linear amplifier. Insert the end of the red cable into the "Power" terminal and the black cable into the "Ground" terminal.
