- 1). Sort through cartoons and magazine clippings to get some examples of the teenage character that you want to create in your drawing. You can pull ideas from different sources---such as the clothing style from one guy and the body language of another guy---to draw a teenage guy to fit your characterization or story line.
- 2). Focus on the facial expression and hair style of the teenage boy you are drawing. You may want to give him a trendy hair style, and create an expression that has a smirk for the mouth and raised eyebrows to create a character with the edgy attitude of a teenage boy.
- 3). Draw the body of the teenage boy to resemble a figure that is growing up, but is still coming into his own. His shoulders should not be too broad, and his clothes should look a little large and ill-fitting. You can make one style mark stand out by drawing it a little bigger than the other items. For example, make an eyebrow ring or skate shoes a little larger so that they are a mark for the teenager's character.
