- 1). Click on the "Start" button and choose "Run" from the menu. Type "msconfig" in the box and click "OK."
- 2). Wait for the system configuration window to open and click on the "Startup" tab. Locate your anti-virus software and check the box next to it. This will ensure that the anti-virus software runs and loads in task manager each time the computer is started.
- 3). Click "OK" to save your changes and then restart your computer to force them to go into effect. Log back on to your computer and right-click on the task bar.
- 4). Choose "Task Manager" from the list and click on the "Processes" tab. Verify that your anti-spyware processes are running.
