- 1). Put on safety glasses and rubber gloves to protect yourself from the chemicals.
Spray a commercial soap scum remover for marble on the glass and on the marble floor. Make sure to cover all of the soap scum or you will have to reapply it later. - 2). Allow the cleaner time to work (an estimated time should be listed on the label). Usually you'll only need to wait a few minutes.
- 3). Dampen a clean sponge mop and scrub the shower floor with the mop. Next, use a hand sponge to scrub the soap scum from the glass shower walls.
- 4). Turn on the shower to rinse off the soap scum remover from the walls and floor. Use a clean sponge to rinse off areas the stream of water does not reach.
- 5). Use a squeegee on the glass shower walls, just like you would a car windshield, to remove the water droplets and prevent water spots. If you do this after each shower, you won't have to clean soap residue as often.
