- 1). Connect the iPod to the computer via the USB connection cable that came with the device. If the iTunes application does not launch automatically, double-click the iTunes application icon to launch the program.
- 2). Click the arrow to the left of the iPod listed beneath the "Devices" heading. Click the "Music" option beneath the iPod device to view the music files stored on the iPod.
- 3). Click on the music file you want to delete from the iPod in the iTunes window to highlight it.
- 4). Press the "Delete" key on the computer's keyboard. Click the "Remove" button when prompted to remove the song from the iPod.
