How do I Use the Sony Rm-E300?

    Change the Batteries

    • 1). Open the battery cover on the back of the remote control.

    • 2). Take the old batteries, if present, out of the remote.

    • 3). Insert the new batteries by aligning the "+" and "-" indicator on the batteries with the indicators on the remote control.

    Connect the Equipment

    • 1). Plug one end of an RCA audio/video cable into the "audio out" and "video out" ports on the back of the video player. Plug the other end of the cable into the "audio in" and "video in" for "Player" on the RM-E300.

    • 2). Plug one end of another RCA audio/video cable into the "audio in" and "video on" ports on the back of the video recorder. Plug the other end of the cable into the "audio out" and "video out" for "Recorder" on the RM-E300.

    • 3). Connect the round end of the AC adapter into the "DC IN" jack on the back of the video editor. Plug the other end of the AC adapter into a wall outlet or power strip.

    Store the Video Recorder Commands

    • 1). Press the "Command Memory" button that is in the upper, right corner of the video editor. You will see the indicator light begin to blink.

    • 2). Point the remote control for the video player at the infrared sensor, on the front of video editor.

    • 3). Press the "Pause" button on the remote control for the video recorder. You will see the indicator light for "Pause" light up.

    • 4). Press the "Play" button on the remote control for the video recorder. The indicator light for "Play" will light up.

    • 5). Press the "Stop" button on the remote control for the video recorder. The indicator light for "Stop" will light up.
