- 1). Turn the propane heater off. Allow the heater to cool completely before continuing.
- 2). Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of lukewarm water. Add 1/4 tsp. of liquid dish soap, and mix.
- 3). Saturate a sponge in the mixture. Hold the sponge over the bucket, and wring out the excess liquid.
- 4). Wipe the propane heater with the sponge. Rinse the sponge when it becomes dirty or dry.
- 5). Continue wiping the soot off the propane heater with the sponge until you have thoroughly cleaned the heater.
- 6). Fill a second bucket with clear water. Saturate a clean cloth in the water, and wring out the excess liquid. Rinse the soap residue off the propane heater with the cloth. Wipe the heater dry with a towel.
