How to Remove Soot From a Propane Heater

1). Turn the propane heater off. Allow the heater to cool completely before continuing.
2). Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of lukewarm water. Add 1/4 tsp. of liquid dish soap, and mix.
3). Saturate a sponge in the mixture. Hold the sponge over the bucket, and wring out the excess liquid.
4). Wipe the propane heater with the sponge. Rinse the sponge when it becomes dirty or dry.
5). Continue wiping the soot off the propane heater with the sponge until you have thoroughly cleaned the heater.
6). Fill a second bucket with clear water. Saturate a clean cloth in the water, and wring out the excess liquid. Rinse the soap residue off the propane heater with the cloth. Wipe the heater dry with a towel.
