How to Play Movies on a Third Generation iPod nano

    • 1). Download videos. There are three main places where you can get video which are licensed for use on all generations of iPod: the iTunes store (where you can download them directly), digital copies on traditional DVDs and your own personal video collection. If you have digital copies and personal videos, these videos will need to be added to iTunes manually. See the Tips section for more on this step.

    • 2). Sync your videos with your iPod. Plug the iPod in and then drag the videos you want over it. A "syncing" icon will appear while your videos are being added to the iPod.

    • 3). Disconnect your iPod nano by pressing the eject button next to the iPod icon and then unplugging it from the USB port. Remove the iPod from any docking station or cradle you are using.

    • 4). Press the "Menu" button and then scroll down to the "Videos" section. Press the center button to select it. You will see the videos you synced in Step 2. Scroll down to the video you want to watch and then press the center button. The iPod screen will flicker, and then your video will begin.
