myTouch 3G Slide Tips & Tricks

    Organization

    • The myTouch 3G Slide has an organizational calendar to help you track your schedule. Add a new event to the calendar by going to your home screen and picking "Calendar." Hit "New Event" and you will be brought to a monthly screen where you can pick the appropriate date and time. You also have the option of synchronizing the phone with a calendar you have created in Microsoft Outlook. Go to "Calendar," pick "My Calendar" and select "PC Sync."

    Camera

    • Go to "Camera" from your Home screen to find your digital camera and change its settings. There are three flash settings to choose from. You can turn your flash completely off, turn it on all the time, or go to "Automatic Flash" so that the phone detects when it is necessary. Go to "Exposure" to change the brightness level or effects to change the color scheme. To adjust your camera to the lighting, go to "Menu," " Settings" and "Camera Settings." Select ISO and adjust the setting higher for dim lighting or lower for bright lighting.

    Media Play Lists

    • Android Media Player has a feature that allows you to make your own song play lists. Go to your Home screen and press "Music." Hit the icon that appears to be three horizontal lines and then pick "Playlists." Hit "Add Playlist" and then fill in the name field with whatever title you want. From here you can browse the audio files on the phone to select songs. If you decide you want to add more songs later, just hit the "Menu" key and pick "Add Songs."

    Clock

    • You can change the phone's clock to reflect the time and details of the city you are in, even if you are traveling. Go to "Home" and hit "Clock." Press "World Clock," select "Menu" and select "Home Settings." Begin typing the city you want and choose from the results that come up. Go to "Local Time Settings" and make sure that the "Automatic" box is not checked so that the phone will change when you enter a new city. Select your time zone and date, and the phone will update.
