- 1). Draw the letters of your message in big capital letters on your scrap paper. This will be the base upon which you will build the graffiti.
- 2). Look at a font website to see examples of different graffiti lettering types. Choose a simple style.

Trace graffiti letters around your capital letters. Imagine that you are drawing the outline of a cloud that is the same shape as the letter. Use the font you chose as a guide for thickening the letters and drawing the outlines. - 4). Overlap some of the characters. When you make the letters into thick outlines, some parts will "run into" other letters. In the overlapping areas, erase the outline of the letter that will be in the back, and leave the outline of the letter that will be on top.
- 5). Make any last changes to the sketch such as adding flourishes to letters, such as arrows or swirls.
- 1). Copy the sketch of the cool graffiti letters onto the high-quality white paper, using a pencil first.
- 2). Draw all of the details from your original sketch onto the white paper. You can draw the final drawing right away: large outlined letters, overlapping, and flourishes included.
- 3). Draw over the pencil lines with a marker. Choose the colors you want to use. At the minimum, one color should be used for the outlines and another color should be used to fill in the cool graffiti letters.
- 4). Erase any remaining pencil lines when you are done coloring in the letters.
