You will need a special app to make ringtones on your Android cell phone. From your Android cell phone, access the android market. - 2
Ringdroid app.
Once you are in the Android market, search for an app called Ringdroid. Ringdroid allows you to cut and splice your own music to make ringtones for your Android cell phone. - 3
Once Ringdroid is downloaded and installed on your Android cell phone, you can use it to select portions of your own music and use those splices as ringtones on your cell phone.
Open Ringdroid and select the song you want to use to make a ringtone. You can use the search function to find the song in your library that you want to use. - 4
Ringdroid will now show you the sound waves of the song you selected to use for making a ringtone. Use the play button to find the spot in the song you want to cut and use as a ringtone. Using the drag tools, set the start and the end of the splice to be used as a ringtone. - 5
Once you have finished making your selection, click the "save" button at the bottom of the screen. It looks like a floppy disk. Ringdroid will now ask you to name your ringtone, and give you options to set the new ringtone as the default tone or as a custom tone.
