- 1). Attach the cable running in from the wall into the "In" port on the DirecTV DVR box.
- 2). Insert the red, green and blue component video cables into the "Component Out" ports on the DirecTV DVR. Attach the other ends of the cables into the "Component In" ports on the television.
- 3). Plug the red and white RCA audio cables into the "Audio Out" ports on the DirecTV DVR receiver box, then attach the opposite ends of the cables into the "Audio In" ports on the TV.
- 4). Power on the TV and the DirecTV DVR receiver. Set the TV to "Component Video" as the input display option, and the satellite content now begins to play on the TV.
