- 1). Clean the corrugated steel using a pressure washer. Wait one to three hours for the steel to dry.
- 2). Place fabric drop cloths beneath the steel. Cover portions of the steel you don't want painted with painter's tape.
- 3). Coat the corrugated steel with a galvanized metal etching primer using a roller. Smooth the primer, using a 3-inch latex paintbrush to prevent runs and drips. Brush horizontally along the recessed areas of the steel. Wait four hours for the primed steel to dry.
- 4). Clean the painting tools with water.
- 5). Coat the primed corrugated steel with an acrylic latex paint. Apply the paint just as you did the etching primer. Wait two hours for the finish to dry. Add another coat if the coverage is inadequate.
