- 1). Blot up any excess formula with a dry cloth as soon as it is spilled.
- 2). Soak the stained clothes in cool water. Warm or hot water will "cook" the protein, setting it into the fabric.
- 3). Rub white bar soap on the stain or treat with an enzyme-based stain remover. Let the soap set for 30 minutes or longer, following the manufacturer's directions on the stain remover.
- 4). Wash the clothes as directed on the tag, in either warm or cold water, using laundry detergent.
- 5). Inspect the clothes before placing them in the dryer. If the stain remains, treat with a stain remover and rewash. Do not place clothes with a remaining stain into the dryer.
