- 1). Go to the Music folder on the computer to which you wish to transfer your music. It will be located in the following directory:
Mac OS X: /Users/username/Music - 2). Use your mouse to drag the iTunes folder in this location out to the computer Desktop.
- 3). Connect your iPod to the computer while holding down the "CMD + Option" keys on your computer keyboard. Continue to hold down the keys until you see that synchronization has not started and you see your iPod in the Source pane.
- 4). Double-click on the icon for your iPod on the computer Desktop. Drag the iTunes folder from the iPod to the Music folder on the computer Desktop. Be patient as this can take quite a while if you have a large music library. Once the copying process is finished, all the songs from your iPod will be on your Apple computer.
