- 1). Remove as much paintball paint as possible from the James Hardie siding, using focused water pressure from a pressure washer. Allow the Hardieboard to dry for two hours.
- 2). Wear rubber gloves.
- 3). Apply paint-stripping solvent to the James Hardie siding, using a natural-bristle paintbrush. Allow two minutes for the solvent to break down the adhesives within the paintball paint.
- 4). Scrape the loosened paintball paint, using a wire brush. Rinse the Hardiplank with a rag dampened with stripping solvent. Sand stubborn bits of paint from the James Hardie siding, using 80-grit sandpaper.
