- 1). Combine 2 or 3 drops of liquid dish detergent in a container with 1 qt. of warm water. Dampen a microfiber washcloth with the solution, and wipe the window track and the windows to remove any debris. Avoid rubbing on the windows because you can scratch the glass.
- 2). Mix 2 tbsp. of ammonia with 2 qt. of warm water in a bowl. Pour the ammonia solution into a spray bottle.
- 3). Spray the interior windows with the ammonia solution. Wipe the windows from side to side with old newspapers. Cleaning the windows in the opposite direction allows you to figure out which side of the window has streaks.
- 1). Spray the exterior windows with a garden hose. The water helps to remove grime from the windows.
- 2). Mix 2 tbsp. of ammonia with 2 qt. of warm water in a bowl. Pour the ammonia solution into a spray bottle. Spray the solution on the exterior windows.
- 3). Wipe the exterior windows up and down on the outside with newspaper to prevent streaks. If you do not have newspaper, wipe the windows with microfiber cloths or old cotton shirts.
- 4). Open the windows once they are dry. Vacuum the screens to remove dust and dirt. Scrub on the outside screen with warm water, and allow it to air dry.
